Indie Bookstore Day
It’s important to support your local independent bookstore.
Do you know that, according to the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses 66 cents out of every dollar that you spend at a locally owned business stays local (versus the 11 cents that stays local when you shop at a multinational retailer).

Yes, I know both are employers and serve their communities. And that’s all well and good.
But if you’re looking to do more to support local, and help strengthen your own local economy, making the decision to support a local business means more of every hard-earned dollar you spend stays local and supports other local people.
Bookstores are more than just businesses that support the local economy. They’re community hubs, they attract open-minded thinkers and dreamers. They are safe places. They are locales managed and staffed by those who understand that opening a book is something truly greater: It’s opening up worlds and universes of possibilities, it’s opening a mind, it’s providing insight, information, and inspiration.
I’m hoping that you make an effort to support and promote your own local independent bookstore: for the good of your own community.
And that’s why I’m offering a free eBook or Audiobook to you to thank you for making the effort to show your support. All you have to do is shop at or promote your local independent bookstore, provide proof of that, and I’ll send you one of my digital books as well as enter you in a random draw to receive a print copy of one of my books.
